Activists Blast Former CDHR Chairman

The petition was tittled: RE: BREAKING – FAKE NEWS! CDHR DELTA STATE GETS NEW EXCOS TO PILOT IT’S AFFAIRS dated 16th July, 2025 and Co-signed by Comrade Chika Maduh and Comrade Collins Ogheneovo Abegha, the immediate past Secreatry and Treasurer Committee for Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) DELTA STATE Chapter.
According to the petition, my attention has been drawn towards the Fake News published by the immediate past CDHR Delta State Chairman, (Comrade A.P Edariese ), that ” CDHR Delta State got new EXCOS to pilot its affairs “
FAKE NEWS! FAKE NEWS!! FAKE NEWS!!!
Please, disregard this fake News as there was no election held on the 15th July, 2025.
According to Human Rights Activists, it is regret able that a man of his age ( Comrade Chief A. P. Edariese) will be telling such lies. His plans was to by pass the CDHR Constitution and use his cohort as electoral Committee to conduct elections, with just two Units and two other FAKE Units, he inaugurated on 14th of June, 2o25.
Activists alleged that he inaugurated the NEW YORK Udu Unit 4 on 14th June, 2025, when he told all the Units to come to his house at Owhase to pick up Forms for selection for the combined CDHR Units elections.
Stated that, it has never happened before now in the history of CDHR that a State Chairman will conduct a combined Units elections in one day, when these Units where not inaugurated the same day.
According to Activists, Units elections are been conductef in their various Units Secretariat and they will invite the State EXCOS to come and observe according to CDHR Constitution. What is been done in National is replicable in the States and down to the Units and nothing more.
The two immediate past State Executives stated that, A Secreatry of Uvwie Unit 1, Comrade Daniel Ezewele, left his Unit EXCOS with two unknown members to the past Chairman’s house, pick up the said form for selection, he Comrade Chief A. P. Edariese made Daniel Ezewele a coordinator and two others , Secretary and Treasurer respectively, on the 14th of June,2025, in a non existing Unit.
Rights Activists stated that the past state Chairman was told by the NEC delegates during the screening sections to provide his financial records of those he claimed that are eligible voters, he could not provide the registration and dues monies paid to him either to his personal account or collected cash as the case may be, he, Comrade Chief A. P. Edariese could not provide the same.
CDHR immediate past Secreatry and Treasurer, stated that members from other Units who refused to pay into the past Chairman’s personal account and also refused to pick up Forms for selection for the combined Units elections, all came with evidence of their dues paid into the state CDHR Account with UBA.
The CDHR past Executives stated that despite the attack on the NEC delegates by the hoodlums, we want to appreciate our NEC delegates for all their efforts to make sure that peace reign for the law enforcement team earlier intervention sent from Area Command Burutu.
According to past Secreatry and Treasurer, of CDHR insulting and assaulting the NEC delegates, neglecting the procedure and criteria to conduct a credible elections, deceiving the public and publishing this fake News that CDHR Delta got new EXCOS pilot its affairs. That the address where he did his kangaroo selections in (in his house at Owhase) is different from where the Annual Branch Convention/election took place as stated in the invitation card Stated , that was a great disgrace on this organisation and something needs to be done to put things right in the organisation.
They said that former CDHR state Chairman of Ondo State, Comrade Olorunwo Alfred, who claimed to have been sent by the president when two NEC members, Comrade Ekine Henry, National Legal Adviser and Comrade Afees Idris, National Publicity Secretary, were already sent by the NEC, left the Victory Hotel venue as per the attached invitation Card, at about 7:45pm and witnessed the kangaroo hand picked EXCOS for Delta State. The Ondo State former Chairman is a great disappointment and needs to be checked
