Foundation for Environmental Rights, Advocacy & Development (FENRAD) Participates in Labour Protection Research Workshop in Enugu
The Foundation for Environmental Rights, Advocacy & Development (FENRAD), a prominent non-governmental organization committed to environmental rights and advocacy in Nigeria, has actively participated in a significant research initiative focused on labour protection in Civil Society Organization (CSO) workspaces in Nigeria.
FENRAD, recognized for its research and advocacy efforts, was one of the key researchers involved in the study organized by the South Sahara Development Organization (SSDO). The study aimed to evaluate and promote fair, dignified, and just working conditions for individuals within civil society organizations across Nigeria.
The research, which forms a crucial part of SSDO’s ongoing efforts, seeks to address critical issues relating to labour rights, protection, and overall wellbeing in the civil society sector, a vital space for advocacy, development, and social change in the country.
In line with the research, FENRAD actively participated in a dissemination workshop held in Enugu. The event provided a platform for discussing findings, sharing insights, and engaging with stakeholders from across Nigeria’s civil society, government, and development sectors.
FENRAD’s involvement in this workshop highlights the organization’s continued commitment to ensuring that civil society organizations uphold the highest standards of labour protection, contributing to an equitable, dignified, and thriving sector in Nigeria.
