Re: Police Press Release. Victor Ojei’s Reply to A-Division Asaba
By Ahabamnews
A human rights activist Comrade Victor Ojei has drawn the attention of the public to a Press Release issued by the Delta State Police Command on 29th August 2025, alleged that he was on the run after bail.
According to him, they claimed that he jumped bail was untrue as his communication with the police remains open and verifiable. He remained a law-abiding citizen committed to due process and he was prepared to cooperate fully with lawful investigations.
Ojei explained that he was not on the run, he duly informed the police Division handling the matter that he had travelled to Port Harcourt for business but he is back and his partner already called the IPO that he will come to A-Division Asaba next week.
He clearly stated that he will present himself next week upon return despite he was at the Assistant Commissioner of Police state Intelligence office at the time he made the public statement.
“He therefore urged the general public to disregard the false impression created by the police statement and he has instructed his legal representative to take appropriate steps to protect his name and ensure that the truth is placed on record”, he added.
