In Oborevwori’s Delta, Thugs Are Commissioners, Advisers And SAs – Killing Is An Act Of Governance
NLC Shuts Down Secretariat Over Murder of Director, Deltans Ask: Who Is Safe Under MORE Agenda?
By Swill Mavua
When thugs seize power, what happens is fight and killing. What is happening in Delta today is no longer governance — it is cultism in agbada.
Mr Unity Ekpevbughe Adeda Is Dead. He was not a tout. He was a Level 16, Deputy Director, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Delta State. A civil servant who served Delta for over 20 years. A man who woke up yesterday September 24, 2026, went to work at Prof. Chike Edozien Secretariat, Asaba — and never returned home alive.
What happened? According to multiple accounts from workers inside the ministry and family members, Mr Unity had a disagreement with the Director of Examinations. He had just been redeployed from field office in Isoko South — maybe that was why he did not know everybody yet.
The Commissioner for Secondary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, was called in. Eyewitnesses say the Commissioner asked him: “Do you know me? Do you know who I am?” Mr Unity replied: “I don’t know you.” — an honest answer from a field officer who just resumed.
That answer was his death sentence.
Sources say the Commissioner ordered his police orderly, Celestine Opute, his driver Amos Atah, and one David to descend on him. He was beaten without mercy inside the ministry. According to staff who spoke anonymously, he was “tied hands and legs like a goat, fell into coma, and was even detained first instead of being rushed to hospital.”
He was later rushed to Federal Medical Centre Asaba. He died. His body was deposited at Asaba Specialist Hospital mortuary. A sister confirmed the death, saying “the video of the incident is currently with the Director of Examinations” and family has not even been fully briefed.
As I type this, the Commissioner has allegedly packed his cars from the quarters and gone underground.
And What Is Governor Sheriff Oborevwori Doing? He is Playing protection. Playing MORE agenda. Playing “fact-finding committee” when a man is dead.
There is no need for fact-finding here. A senior civil servant died after alleged assault on state premises involving a serving Commissioner. In any sane state, the Commissioner would have been sacked and arrested that same night.
But this is Oborevwori’s Delta — where thugs are Commissioners.
Recall the incident between Temple Mudi and Commissioner Reuben Izeze. On July 26, 2026, during APC stakeholders meeting at PTI Effurun, the Governor’s own Senior Special Assistant on Protocol, Simon Mudi aka Temple, was chased and beaten with bottles and chairs on video. He bled, head broken, wearing APC uniform. He was beaten allegedly on the orders of Commissioner for Works, Reuben Izeze.
Izeze was suspended indefinitely on August 10, arraigned before High Court, Effurun, remanded at Okere Prison Warri for 14 days.
What happened 10 weeks after? On September 22, 2026, Governor Oborevwori lifted the suspension in Government House, gave him a return date of October 19, and Izeze knelt down to thank him. The Governor said: “Because you have pleaded and removed that shame…”
So in Oborevwori’s Delta, if you beat a man, you go to prison, you kneel, you return. Assault is not a crime, it is a culture.
You want another? Moses Ogodo, Commissioner for Environment. Last week, his thugs almost beat his official secretary just because the secretary asked him to fill official visitor slip before seeing the Commissioner in Ministry of Environment.
Thugs everywhere in government. Yellow berets everywhere in the name of MORE agenda. Cultists and thugs are the ones appointed every day — the very cultists they hope to use to rig elections on January 16, 2027.
Now The Entire Secretariat Is Shut Down. Today September 25, 2026, NLC shut down Delta State Secretariat indefinitely. Workers locked all gates at Prof. Chike Edozien Secretariat along Mariam Babangida Way, demanding immediate arrest and investigation of Commissioner Ashibogwu, his driver, his police orderly, and David.
NLC State Chairman, Comrade Goodluck Ofobruku said: “Whoever is responsible for this beating that led to his untimely death must be brought to book before we come back. We must assure workers that they are safe.”
SSG Kingsley Emu visited and appealed for calm, but workers said no return until justice. This is the first time in Delta history that civil servants shut down the entire Secretariat because they fear their own Commissioner will kill them inside the office.
The Indictment Of The Governor. Sheriff Oborevwori must be indicted for creating a government of thugs:
- He rewards violence. Izeze who allegedly beat his own aide Temple was not sacked, but reinstated after 10 weeks with a kneeling ceremony.
- He protects killers. In Unity Adeda case, up till now, there is no sack letter, no arrest order, only “investigation.” Yet NLC has named the Commissioner and his boys.
- He appoints cultists and thugs as MORE agenda officials. Yellow beret wearing touts who cannot write a memo but can beat a Director to death.
- He has turned the Secretariat into a slaughter slab. Or else, where is the Head of Service? Where is the safety of workers?
Mr Unity was a Level 16 official. He spent his life building Delta civil service. His reward is that a Commissioner who does not know Public Service Rules — who thinks that government is, “Do you know me?” — ordered his beating to death.
This is how “Mr INTERPOL” is known — bully who you are richer than with stolen funds. That is the Oga’s style, and the boys copy it.
A Caution To Deltans — Do Not Return This Administration in 2027. Civil servants, you have eaten this soured Ukodo already. You collected N10,000 bribes and voted MORE agenda. Now MORE agenda has killed your colleague inside the Secretariat.
Teachers, you collect N5,000 and vote APC. Now Commissioner for Secondary Education — the man who should protect teachers — allegedly beats your Director to death.
Arewa community in Delta, Urhobos, Ijaws, Itsekiris, Isokos — you all saw Peter Obi in Asaba yesterday and shouted “SERVICE!” Is this SERVICE? Is beating a civil servant to death SERVICE?
On January 16, 2027, stammerer will call his papa name. My word on this government will always come to pass as time goes by.
When will Mr Sheriff SACK his commissioner for murder? When will he hand him to Police? When will he stop doing fact-finding and do justice-finding?
If Delta returns this APC government for a second term, then every Deltan has agreed that “killing is an act of governance.”
We demand:
- Immediate the sack and arrest of Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, his driver, Amos Atah, police orderly Celestine Opute and David.
- Full autopsy report on Mr Unity Adeda, with family present and video evidence from Director of Examinations released.
- Compensation and state burial for Mr Unity Adeda.
- Dismissal of all thug-commissioners and SAs with cult records.
Until then, NLC must not resume. The Secretariat must remain locked. Let MORE agenda work from the motor park, where the governor is alleged to have graduated from.
Mr Unity Adeda, may your soul rest. You did not die for nothing. Your death has exposed the thugocracy that Delta State governance has become.
